Usage

  • penchant

    If you have a penchant for some activity, you have a strong fondness for it and thus find it enjoyable.

  • propensity

    A propensity is a natural tendency towards a particular behavior.

  • pensive

    If you are pensive, you are deeply thoughtful, often in a sad and/or serious way.

  • recompense

    When you offer recompense to someone, you give them something, usually money, for the trouble or loss that you have caused them or as payment for their help.
